Cold Comfort?

1 Thessalonians 4.13-18
2 Corinthians 1.1-7

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.
He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort
those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort
we ourselves receive from God.
2 Corinthians 1.3-4

This year for our Christmas Outreach Project we are partnering with our schools to support students in need.  We invite you to donate any of the needed items from the list below or on the ornaments on the tree in the sanctuary.  All you need to do is choose which item(s) you’d like to provide and bring them to the United Church.  Clothing items can be new or gently used.  You can shop at the thrift shop. These are not “gifts” so they do not need to be wrapped, rather they are various items the guidance counselors, social workers, and nurses at the school have said they need for students who need assistance.  Please place your items in the clear plastic tub in the church sanctuary.  There is also a basket for Gift Cards.
Any questions, please talk with Julie Talley

Are you hungry for your life, His church, our communities to actually become saturated by the manifest Presence of God that was poured out at Pentecost and is waiting for us today. The underlying characteristic of each individual that God used as a fire starter for Revival was hunger. “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied”. Luke 6:21  We are not waiting for revival—revival is waiting for us!  Lead by Pastor Bob Emery
