SHIP SHAPE THINGS TO PONDER
Discipleship– October 25th
When you think of the word Discipleship – what comes to mind?
What problem in your life has caused the greatest growth?
If you were to be discipled what would you want to see happen?
Who could you ask to be your spiritual partner?
Lab: Read a New Testament letter and treat it as a letter from a friend far away.
Now that you’ve read it, how will you respond?
How would you recommend your church respond?

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOXES
OCT 25 – NOV 15
The Mission Team invites you to partner with Samaritan’s Purse to help “send the Gospel to the ends of the earth” through their Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Shoebox project.  Preprinted shoeboxes available on the table in the church front entry Sunday, Oct. 25th.  Suggested gift lists for particular age groups and box labels also available.   If you choose to take a box or use your own, fill the shoebox with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies, you can even include a letter and please pray over your box before bringing it back. Once collected, the boxes will be shipped to children in over 100 countries affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. These gift-filled shoeboxes become tools for local churches to share God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Please include a $9 check made out to Samaritan’s Purse to cover shipping and handling with a note on the memo line that the donation is for Operation Christmas Child, and place the check inside the top of the box.
Return your filled box and check by Sunday, Nov. 15th

ANEW PLACE MEALS NEEDED
ANEW Place is excited to announce our expanding partnership with New Moon Café.
Beginning August 1st, New Moon Café will be providing the meals for our
89 North Street location and our Low Barrier Shelter every day except Sundays.
This will be a big change to our Meal Provider Program.
We will be looking for Meal Providers for Sundays only. You can still sign up for Sunday meals here: www.anewplacevt.org/meals

We will also be seeking financial donations for the cost of the meals which boils down to about $2.95/a meal or $200/day. You can donate to the meals program here: https://www.anewplacevt.org/new-moon-cafe-meals.html

We provide approximately 65 meals a day to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness, which totals almost 1700 meals per month. Your continued support will be needed and greatly appreciated.
