The Treasurer oversees the bookkeeping and all financial assets of the Church and has some basic knowledge of accounting.  Responsibilities: Serves as financial officer for the church and liaison to the Planned Giving Committee; Review the Church’s financial health; Manage Church’s financial commitments; Ensures that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Council of Elders and Deacons on a regular basis; Coordinates with the Bookkeeper in preparation for the annual budget and presents the budget at annual meeting; Reviews the annual audit.
